Tri-Star's Breeding Philosophy |
Beginning with the knowledge that the perfect dog does not exist, my goal in breeding a litter is to improve on what I have, without losing the good points that are very important to me. Conformation, Temperament, Health and Longevity are factored into every breeding.
From the moment the puppies are born, I am continuously evaluating temperament, and structure to determine which pup would be a better show or working prospect, compared to the more laid back one that would fit into someone's home as a pet. |

My puppies are raised in my home with children, other dogs, and a cat. Using the "7's" Method, they are exposed to many different situations, noises, and conditions by the time they are 7 weeks old.
They have their tails and dew claws removed by 5 days old, vaccinated and wormed according to current protocols, and ear cropping is done before they go to their new homes. Puppies are sold on contract, with pet puppies required to be spay/neutered, and on limited registration. |
I am always available to those that buy a puppy from me, and love to hear about each dogs accomplishments, as they "grow up." Photos and stories from my puppy owners are the best reward for me, and it is what keeps me working forward with my breeding program.
